The West Bengal government has ordered the closure of schools, colleges, and ICDS centers in nine districts from October 23 to 25, 2024, due to Cyclone Dana. Ferry services will also be suspended. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts heavy rainfall in West Bengal and Odisha as the cyclone intensifies. Safety precautions are advised.
