UP medical aspirants converting religion to secure MBBS seats: A look at NEET UG admission criteria around minority reservation rules

In Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, more than twelve medical aspirants converted religions to gain MBBS admission in a minority college, violating the Unlawful Conversions of Religious Act, 2021. Authorities have cancelled or scrutinized 20 admissions. The Directorate of Medical Education has called for a detailed investigation into the submitted certificates.
