University of Utah receives historic $75 million donation to build new hospital in West Valley City

The University of Utah has received a $75 million donation from the George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles Foundation to build a new hospital in West Valley City. The 800,000-square-foot facility will offer critical healthcare services to over 725,000 residents in the area. This project, part of a broader $855 million initiative, will improve healthcare access and create more than 2,000 jobs. The hospital is set to be completed by 2029.
