UK woman pregnant again after coming back from maternity leave gets fired; later given compensation

A woman dismissed after revealing her pregnancy has been awarded £28,000 in compensation. Nikita Twitchen was made redundant in April 2022 by First Grade Projects, who claimed financial difficulties. An employment tribunal found no evidence of this and ruled the dismissal as unfair and discriminatory, noting a shift in her boss’s attitude once her pregnancy was disclosed.
