These Six US States Ban or Limit DEI at Colleges and Universities in 2024

Premilla Nadasen, Ann Whitney Olin Professor of History at Barnard College, resigned as director of the Barnard Center for Research on Women (BCRW), effective December 31, 2024. Citing campus surveillance and restrictions on academic events, Nadasen also announced the cancellation of the 50th annual Scholar and Feminist Conference, which was set to focus on academic freedom.
