Students in Kerala schools may soon have bagless days every month

The Kerala government considered measures to address complaints about heavy school bags. General Education Minister V Sivankutty stated that textbooks are already split into parts to reduce weight. Additionally, ‘bag free days’ for four days a month might be introduced. Directions are to be issued to maintain specific weight limits for school bags from Class 1 to 12.
