South Africa struggled on day one of the first Test against Sri Lanka, reaching 80/4 at stumps after rain halted play. Sri Lanka’s seamers exploited helpful conditions at Kingsmead, Durban, taking early wickets. Lahiru Kumara led with 2-35. Temba Bavuma (28*) and Kyle Verreynne (9*) will look to rebuild on day two.
