Ravichandran Ashwin announces retirement from international cricket

Ravichandran Ashwin, India’s second-most successful Test bowler, announced his retirement from international cricket after the drawn Brisbane Test against Australia at the Gabba on Wednesday. The 38-year-old, with 537 Test wickets and six centuries, will continue playing franchise cricket, notably for Chennai Super Kings in the next edition of the IPL in 2025.
