New York has firmly rejected the Trump administration’s demand to dismantle diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) practices in public schools. In a bold letter, state officials challenged the federal government’s authority, warning that the move could lead to a legal showdown over civil rights compliance, educational funding, and state control of public education.
