NCERT Reduces Textbook Prices for High School Students by 20%

The NCERT announced a 20% price reduction for textbooks of classes 9-12, starting next academic year. Director Dinesh Prasad Saklani stated this reduction is due to increased efficiency in paper procurement and modernized printing. Textbooks for grades 1-8 will remain at ₹65. An MoU was signed with Flipkart to expand textbook availability.
