Medical students in India face extreme stress due to intense academic pressure, long hours, and a highly competitive environment, leading to significant mental health challenges. A National Medical Commission (NMC) report found that 27.8% of undergraduates and 31.23% of postgraduates experienced mental health issues, including suicidal thoughts.
