In 1996, the Border-Gavaskar Trophy was born, marking a new era in the rivalry between India and Australia. Amid gluttony of stars such as Mark Taylor, Ian Healy, Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid marking milestone moments, wicketkeeper-batter Nayan Mongia rose to the occasion, scoring a memorable 152 at Feroz Shah Kotla.
