India vs Australia: Harshit, Nitish make Test debut in Perth

India have handed Test debuts to fast bowler Harshit Rana and seam-up allrounder Nitish Kumar Reddy for the opening Border Gavaskar Trophy match against Australia at the Optus Stadium in Perth. India’s stand-in captain Jasprit Bumrah won the toss and opted to bat first. The five-match series is also crucial to the teams’ chances of qualifying for the World Test Championship final.
