Himachal Pradesh Restores Full Salaries for Doctors Pursuing Post Graduate Courses to Support Medical Education

The Himachal Pradesh government has announced that doctors pursuing Post Graduate (PG) courses will be considered “on duty” and receive full salaries, reversing a previous cabinet decision that had reduced their pay to 40%. This change, prompted by concerns raised by medical officers, aims to support doctors’ educational pursuits while enhancing the state’s healthcare system and patient care quality.
