Faruque Ahmed named BCB president after Nazmul Hassan quits

The Bangladesh Cricket Board appointed ex-captain Faruque Ahmed as president after Nazmul Hassan resigned. Nazmul’s departure follows student-led protests against Sheikh Hasina’s government, which resulted in over 450 deaths. Faruque, who has served as the national chief selector, will take on his new role immediately, as confirmed by BCB Chief Executive Officer Nizam Uddin Chowdhury.
