Delhi University welcomed new undergraduate students for the 2024-25 academic year through orientation programmes. Nearly 68,000 students enrolled after two admission rounds, with the university admitting almost 91,000 to ensure full seats. A third round will admit students based on performance and specific quotas. Delays in CUET results announcement led to concerns about the shortened academic calendar affecting vacations and teaching schedules. Classes were initially set to begin on August 1.
