Door not closed on Bairstow’s white-ball career, says England selector

England’s chief selector, Luke Wright, has stated that Jonny Bairstow’s international white-ball career is far from over, despite the 34-year-old being left out of the upcoming series against Australia. Along with Bairstow, experienced players Moeen Ali and Chris Jordan were also not included in the squad, with five uncapped players being selected for the three T20s and five ODIs that will take place within a span of just 19 days, from September 11 to 29.
