Delhi Govt Allocates Rs 100 Crore for DU Colleges, Triples Funding Since 2015

The Delhi government has allocated Rs 100 crore for 12 Delhi University (DU) colleges funded by it, as part of a Rs 400 crore budget for the 2024-25 fiscal year. This marks a tripling of funds since the AAP came to power in 2015. Chief Minister Atishi highlighted the government’s commitment to education, which includes expanding universities and prioritising teacher welfare. The funds will cover medical and pension benefits that were previously delayed due to financial issues.
