Carse shines as England beat NZ by 8 wickets in Christchurch

England beat New Zealand by eight wickets in the first Test. Chasing 104 runs, Joe Root and Jacob Bethell secured the win. Bethell made a half-century on his debut. Brydon Carse took six wickets, leading New Zealand to be all out at 254. The series continues with the second Test in Wellington on Friday.
