BCCI lifts saliva ban ahead of IPL 2025

The BCCI has decided to lift the ban on the use of saliva to shine the ball for the upcoming IPL season after consulting with team captains. This makes IPL the first major cricket event to reintroduce this practice post the COVID-19 pandemic. The decision, made independently of the ICC, has garnered support from the majority of captains.
