Karnataka’s higher education sector has shown steady progress, with a growing Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER) and a strong pupil-teacher ratio. Gender representation is near-equal in faculty roles, and the state boasts a diverse institutional landscape, including 75 universities and 4,430 colleges. However, certain courses like PhDs and M Phils saw enrollment declines, while postgraduate and undergraduate enrollments grew.
