Union Minister for Education, Dharmendra Pradhan, will announce the launch of three AI Centres of Excellence (CoE) on October 15, 2024, focusing on Healthcare, Agriculture, and Sustainable Cities. These CoEs, led by top educational institutions in collaboration with industry partners, aim to advance interdisciplinary research and develop AI-driven solutions for India. With a financial outlay of ₹990 crore over five years, this initiative is part of the government’s “Viksit Bharat” and “Make AI in India” vision.
