Joe Root breaks Alastair Cook’s England Test runs record

On the third day of the first Test against Pakistan, Joe Root became England’s highest run scorer in Test history, surpassing Alastair Cook’s record. Root achieved this milestone with a boundary off Aamer Jamal at Multan Stadium, accumulating 12,474 runs in 147 Tests.
