‘No burgers, soft drinks and burgers’: UK bans daytime TV ads for junk food in bid to tackle child obesity

The UK government will introduce a 9 pm watershed ban on TV adverts for unhealthy foods high in sugar, fat, and salt, starting October next year. This measure aims to combat rising childhood obesity rates, impacting products like granola, muffins, and pastries, but excluding general fast-food chain advertising.
