Jeans and Phones Ban Sparks Protest: Bihar Students Barred from Crucial Exam, Re-Exam Announced

In Bihar’s Siwan district, over 100 students were barred from their intermediate “sent-up” exams due to a college rule prohibiting jeans and mobile phones, sparking protests at the campus gate. Following intervention by police and college officials, the administration set a re-exam date for November 20. The principal cited attendance and campus discipline as grounds for the rule.
